MRS. EUNICE MWONGERA - CHAIRPERSON

Mrs. Eunice Mwongera is a thought leader and a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the horticulture industry. As a pioneer in the sector, she established Hillside Green, a women-led organization that spearheaded the export of fruits and vegetables to European, Middle Eastern, and African markets during the 2010s intentionally establishing a gender inclusive supply chain.

Eunice currently leads Kikapu Agri-Hub, which serves as an expert service provider to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Program (FAO). Her influence extends across global platforms as a professional consultant with Canada-based Emerging.ag and an is one of the enlisted experts with the Bill and Melinda Gates program, where she focuses on supporting agricultural producers in East Africa. Kikapu Agri-Hub is aslo a lead consultant with EU standards and food national hygiene, COLEACP/COLEAD

A champion for climate action and the circular economy, Eunice sits on the boards of several influential organizations, including the Africa Agribusiness Academy and a leading African business accelerator dedicated to upscaling SMEs. Recognized for her excellence, she was named the 2013 Cornell University African Agribusiness of the Year. As Chair-Person of AWEP-KENYA, Eunice brings this unparalleled expertise in standards, certification, and global trade to empower the next generation of African women founders.
